His bond with Elena is so strong and deeply rooted. ... 66

@abriella30873 years ago “I hold it and I get this little flicker of warmth” my Delena heart. It took 3 seasons for Delena to have an actual kiss and 4 seasons for them to actually date. During that time he formed a deep emotional connection to her and before anything else they were just there for each other. There were romantic feelings but the foundation of that relationship is a friendship. She believed in him so her being what links him to his humanity goes in line with what the show has shown since the start. He slowly let how much he cares be seen and let down some of his walls bc someone was seeing past his ‘I don’t care’ attitude and now even without his memories of her, he still feels comfort holding her necklace and it triggers something in him 🥺🥲 ... 78

However as you mentioned, if she did that then Elena couldn't wake up if Bonnie was immortal. Yes! Enzo could also drain the cure out of Elena's body since she is still young and wouldn't age and die like someone 100+ years old would. ... 14

@Cece0013 years ago I’m just now truly noticing how Elena connects Damon to his humanity, Bonnie connects Enzo to his, and then there’s Stefan who can look Caroline in the eyes and hold the engagement ring but nothing is triggered. Props to Caroline for staking him in order to stop him from turning more girls at the pageant. ... 40

@TheMinarus3 years ago A part of why this whole devil storyline feels weak is that it looks like Damon and Stefan aren't even doing what they are supposed to do...If the Devil wanted as many people as possible in a years time i have trouble believing he's not enforcing how many people he get's by the day while Stefan and Damon are chilling discussing their feelings or lack-thereof and arguing about their ex's and shit ... 13

@sunshinesam63993 years ago They mean taking the cure from Elena. Elena would live, since she hasn’t lived past a human lifespan. She’d age a few years. Bonnie and Enzo would live their lives until Elena woke up, and then when Bonnie dies, Elena would wake up and Damon would take the cure from Enzo, since his whole reason for taking it was Bonnie but she died. ... 4

@lucariomew3653 years ago The gang found the original cure back in Season 4, when Jeremy and Bonnie ditched Shane and made it into Silas' tomb. Then Katherine showed up, fed Jeremy to Silas/killed Jeremy, and ran off with the cure. Then after a season of "cure hot potato" / emotionless Elena, the gang got it back. Later in that season, Elena shoved it down Katherine's throat. So the cure was now in her blood. In season 5, Damon and Elena tricked Katherine, allowing Silas to drain the cure from her blood. So Katherine started getting old. Later, Amara drained the blood from Silas, then eventually she died taking that version of the cure with her.
Bonnie acquired a second version of the cure from 1994 Prison World. This happened off-screen, and occurred right after she drained the magic from Qetsiyah's tombstone to regain her magic, so that she could use the ascendent to escape the prison world. But then a freak accident caused her to be blasted into 1903 Prison World instead, but she soon escaped from regardless. The second version of the cure was given to Elena and it now resides in blood of Elena's comatose body.
Technically a 1903 version of the cure should've existed in that prison world, but it's likely that the poison Royal collapsed as soon as the Heretics were freed. Even if it didn't, it definitely collapsed after Kai killed his whole family and became a Heretic himself.
So no more prison world's equals no more versions of the Cure. The gang should have got it when they visited the wintery 1903 prison world, but that would've been easy. ... 2

@LS13.3 years ago So if they take it out of elena she’s in a coma sleep so she won’t age. Bonnie puts it in Enzo and they grow old, then when Bonnie dies and elena wakes up Damon takes it from Enzo. Or whenever Enzo is almost dead he takes it from him and both him and Bonnie like end it pretty much. It does work lowkey ... 3

Its galaxies away from toxic and she finally gets put first and treated like she deserves by someone ... 24

Elena (without humanity) was a bitch. BUT Stefan is the most terrifying......for the characters at least ... 6

@blackkatt7773 years ago What you said about Bonnie possibly turning into a vampire and Elena not coming....technically that's a loop hole because Bonnie has to die in order to transition, so Elena would be able to come back.
But Bonnie is the last active Bennet witch, or so we are told, so magic or no, the blood in her is forever mystical and powerful because of her bloodline. She is still watched over by her ancestors spirits. They were shady for letting Esther have access to her and her mother, but still....
Of topic, but I just thought about why did Bonnie get the cure and not offer it to her mother? She hates being a vampire, but is dealing. Why wouldn't her mother come to mind first before Elena? I know the answer why, but I wanted to get that thought out there.
Enzo is so afraid of losing her that he gave her his blood in case she ever gets severally injured and he's not there to protect her. ... 3

@suprsparxlast year I'm still trying to figure out how Damon even knew who Elena was considering Sybil toyed with a memory and killed her on Wickery Bridge with Damon saying he'd never met her and Sybil saying that he wouldn't get to. So like...........how does he even know who Elena is let alone that was her necklace or had any sentimental attachment to it with his switch off. This season was so shoddily written as a quick wrap up that even the stuff that didn't make sense ended up making even less. ...

Because she wouldn't have died of old age as a human she would just age to the age she's supposed to be. ...

I love ripper Stefan but the whole arc of Stefan having to turn off his humanity to protect someone, killing innocent people, turning it back on and then being riddled with guilt was sooooo boring by season 8. ... 2

Damon also pushing Stefan to drink human blood.
Damon vervained in season 8: too weak to compell someone, doesn’t like ripper Stefan.
Alaric in season 3 when he got a manipulated alter ego: everyone tries to save him and Damon mourned his death.
Damon in season 8 with his consciousness manipulated: gets easily beaten and killed by his former best friend
