In this video I will tell you about two very important holidays in Russia, the Defender of the Fatherland Day (February, 23) and the International Women's Day (March, 8). In today's Russia, these holidays tend to lose their initial meaning. The Defender of the Fatherland Day is supposed to honor our military achievements, but instead we congratulate all men, implying that all of them should be masculine and should serve in the army. The International Women's Day is supposed to celebrate women's rights, but instead we congratulate all women with flowers, forgetting about the feminist origins of the holiday. Let's discuss how misinterpretation of these holidays reinforces gender stereotypes in Russia. #Russia #feminism #InternationalWomensDay Support me on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/NatashasAdventures My Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/natsadv/ *About myself* My name is Natasha, I live in the Far East of Russia in the city of Khabarovsk, but originally I'm from a small town Spassk-Dalny.
