Shopping malls, restaurants, hotels and places of worship opened in many states across India on Monday following a relaxation of the nationwide lockdown, amid the surge of coronavirus cases in the country. India, with more than 2.5 lakh cases and over 7,000 deaths, is now the fifth most-affected country in the world due to the pandemic. After the Ministry of External Affairs has issued guidelines that the #ReligiousPlaces will be opened from June 8, #temples, #churches, and #mosques opened their doors to devotees after a long gap due to the coronavirus-triggered lockdown. Morning prayers were offered and most of the prominent temples in #Assam were seen open as devotees come to offer prayers. While the #Kamakhya Authorities announced that the temple doors would be kept closed, at least till June 30.
