@littlemegpoidlast yearI finished mine like 3 minutes ago and I'm shocked at how easy it was for my first crochet project! Your instructions were very clear and the yarn you chose for this tutorial was a very good choice because I could easily see each threads and loops. Thank you so much for that, now I'm pretty sure I'll try some other tutorials you made! :) ...530

@darabounds6671last monthI was in college still when I first started knitting by teaching myself through videos like this. When I excitedly told my grandma about the hobby I had started on my own she told me how she used to crochet before I was born. When I was married my grandma gave me a whole knitting bag full of patterns, needles a few balls of very plush yarn and a full set of hooks. She said she wanted for us to teach each other. She wanted to learn to knit and she wanted to teach me to crochet like she taught my aunts. Not long after she had an accident and I didn't get to learn or teach before she passed. I am just learning the very basics of crochet now. This isn't my first video, but this will be a special one for me. This is the video where I am finally going to use those balls of yarn that she gave me a little over a year ago. I am going to buy some more of the same brand and color to make a full winter set with the yarn. Your video is the beanie. Then I will make a scarf and maybe some mittens. ...2

@chrissylanders99245 months agoThank you for this easy-to-follow tutorial😊. I love how full and plush this stitch is; it's definitely going in my repertoire. I experimented and discovered that if you crochet through the back loops it looks even more like knit, but you do sacrifice some of the fullness. ...2

@chrimsonevans20162 years agoWow this is easily the easiest beanie I have made. I make a hair tie version that looks similar but a bit harder and a Pom one that’s easy but different look. I’d say this on is the easiest out of the 3 I make besides the baby ones those don’t take any effort or time but I swear I struggle finding one that would look good on both men and women and this is it so 10/10 thank you for this ❤❤❤❤ ...16

@
@thedarknessofnanalast monthI’m happy I’ve found this beanie pattern. The beanie I made previously for my dad came out too bulky, especially when I closed the top. (Could have been a user error since this was my first crochet project, lol.) I’m frogging it to redo it, and will use this video guide instead. I found the half double crochet slip stitch interesting, and hope it can help my bulking issue. This hat is for my dad and is meant to be a bit oversized, since he hates tight hats. Also, I LOVE how you connected both sides! You didn’t cut the chord and have us awkwardly sew it up. That alone won me over, even after wanting to try this cool HDC slip stitch. I’ll be back to let y’all know how my dad’s hat, version 2, goes! 😊 ...
