@
@bigwater523 years agoFinally!!! By far my fav build series on YouTube!!
@
@kylestubblefield34043 years agoGlad to see you are taking safety seriously. So many car guys I know are cavalier when it comes to hazardous materials like that.

@OldManRoo3 years agoGreat to see Laz doing his thing! This was a fascinating episode, loved the details. You need some sunscreen for working outdoors, though. It's going to be a fun ride watching this lovely old girl come back to life!

@troypenington18953 years agoLove that you have been able to find more time to work on your dad's car. Si cool 😎
@
@tylerdrake46493 years agoC4’s have always been my favorite of the vettes. Might just be because of that old school digital gauge setup, but really makes me consider buying the one down the street from me😬😬 I assume the 400 doesn’t come in any year of these, is that an aftermarket block and heads? 8 head bolts on just the outside row seems massive to me ...2
@
@peppermintnightmare47413 years agoYou're very wholesome, Jeremy. I respect you. 1
@
@donthewellguy3 years agoI love the videos of this car… Keep up the great work!!!
@
@PoLoMoTo23 years agoFor the head bolt sealant it might be worth grabbing some extra head bolts, putting sealant on them, and see how various solvents work at removing the sealant. Like acetone, paint thinner, etc.
@
@UncleManuel3 years agoGeorge Dundee wielding a knoive - crikey!😁 Btw: "Sparks & Shorts" is indeed a hilarious name for an electrical company... 😁
@
@backwoodsmodified3 years agoPro tip on head bolt cleaning. Aircraft stripper. Get new ones!!! Used head bolts are already stretched and can not carry extreme loads. New bolts aren't expensive considering the risk of engine failure from re-used ones. ...
@
@curvs4me3 years agoThis is the one! I love this car. You guys gotta have the port measuring tools? Like reverse long needle nose pliers?
@
@trxcummins73883 years agoFor cleaning those threads they make a thread chaser or thread cleaner kit you can probably put in a drill and do it pretty quick that way. I used to work in general aviation and my old boss had some they look very similar to a die but not as aggressive if that makes sense I used them all the time to clean threads on bolts ...
@
@Taverius3 years agoSo happy you've decided to go full in on the C4 😎
@
@RMfpv3 years agoI feel like I learn a lot from just watching Laz. Nice work 1

@
@tdwz16523 years agoman to be a master at wiring is truly an amazing talent
@
@NoWr2Run3 years agoDevcon is the best choice you could have made but you have to get the right epoxy for your application & PREP IS VERY IMPORTANT. I use Devcon " PLASTIC STEEL " WHEN BEDDING WOOD & TUPPERWARE GUN STOCKS FOR YEARS. Stuff is SUPERIOR TOO ANYTHING ELSE I'VE USED, GREAT CHOICE. Happy too see your Dad's Vette. getting some LOVE, IT MUST BE PRETTY EMOTIONAL. ...
@
@600wheel3 years agoI am a millwright welder fabricator by trade and I’ve used that Devcon stuff and I think it is amazing I used it anywhere you would use JB Weld and a lot of places you wouldn’t believe I’ve even gone as far as to use it to build up old Babbitt bearing housings it works very well in very toxic situations and it’s very happy to take extreme heat cycles as well I think it should work great for you guys ...1
@
@350573 years agoLoving the legend content! Fasterproms crew 💯 you guys are awesome. 😎😎🤘🏻
@
@adammizell62273 years agoMaybe get a jewelry tumbler/cleaner. For your bolts. My uncle used an old bucket that he had a spinner under to clean loose bolts and small parts. Get Gerorge in there with the Purple Power for the grease and a chemical or even media for the gasket material and you should be good to go. Heck maybe even a bullet tumbler would work. ...
@
@mikemartin24233 years agoYes the Legend is back.....I've got a 93 c4 that has sat for 4 years now but ran great when I parked it and I'm thinking about selling it but I see your video and I just watched Elliott's video about his now I may keep it....keep rockin brothers 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 ...
@
@brandnew28483 years agoI am glad to see that Laz still has his head bolts still intact after all the times he removed them.
@
@caseywinningham30003 years agoSoak your head bolts in some Caustic Soda and hot water. Make sure this is in a S.S. bowl or pot as the Caustic will heat up and metal plastic. DO NOT GET ON SKIN!!! After a few hrs, dilute solution by adding vinegar. discharge in a drain and rinse off real good with water hose. Will look like brand new bolts. ...
@
@supercoupe283 years agoThis build has to be one of the best. Plus, Laz in the full haz-mat suit made me laugh. Not dying today horsepower! Lol
@
@chicagovasko3 years agoLaz you're a great teacher I learned àlot.
@
@mikechater87803 years agoLAZ the legend on camera again, love your work mate. Keep these vids coming.
@
@regal1053 years agoI mean I like the small block as the history and sentimentality but a set of big aftermarket heads would be a huge step forward 2
@
@gat61863 years agoAlright been looking forward to the legend build. 1
@
@jcnpresser3 years agoOn the intake, they may have been doing flow test on different runner designs, don’t know. I’ve been watching a lot of David Vizard’s YouTube and looks like something he would try. 1
@
@kamaromike3 years agoTry using a thread chaser for removing the sealant. Not a cutting die, a chaser. Usually knocks most of the stuff off pretty easy and just finish in the wire wheel.
@
@danielrobinson97693 years agoNot sure if the Pistons are custom or standard but I see a cool little sgwiggly smiley face in them that could be a fun element for stickers and shirts!
@
@rydplrs713 years agoTell lax I only wear that much ppe when blasting arsenic reside indoors. The respirator was important, a properly fit n95 is minimal, but the sweat bag is complete overkill. Also a sucking fan works better then a blowing fan for keeping the dust away. I do like his attention to detail as long as I’m not paying shop rate for his time. I want that attention as long as it’s not holding up production. ...
@
@BrentWolff3 years agoI used to use Devcon for factory approved flap track repairs on Beechcraft 1900D's. It's great stuff and very tough, doesn't sand well.
@
@seaniemcp28873 years agoYou had my “like” before the first second… The legend!!!! 1
@
@aboutmyfathersbusiness83243 years agoHad an 86 in 1992. No one could touch me. It was stock. Re; thread sealer... Soak them in Simple Green for 2 weeks if you have the time. It will strip everything off. It will also start eating the metal if you dont get them out in time. They will have a gun metal grey color. ...
@
@ryanzenzen90883 years agoNice work Laz! I loved all of the details, but not too overdone.
@
@curvs4me3 years agoI used that copper coat for my buddies son's gx360 go kart stock class. Taped off the piston and combustion chamber and outside the mating surfaces. At the time there was nothing in the rules about head gaskets, so I through it away lol. Stuck the head on the cylinder with napa spray copper. Bam, mo powah! ...
@
@justinmccaffity66353 years agoWould love to see this go on RMRW or Drag week in the Small Block N/A classes. 1
